The event proved to be a tremendous success, attracting classic car enthusiasts from across the region for a fantastic day of motoring, community spirit and fundraising.
From the moment exhibitors and visitors arrived, the event received overwhelmingly positive feedback. The carefully planned layout, clearly marked display bays and smooth organisation throughout the day were praised by attendees, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone could relax, admire an impressive selection of classic vehicles and enjoy spending time with fellow enthusiasts.
Speaking after the event, MG Northumbria organiser Paul Whitechurch thanked everyone involved in making the day such a memorable occasion.
"The MG Northumbria Classic Car Show was a fantastic success, and on behalf of everyone involved I would like to say a huge thank you to Wallsend RFC for helping make the day such an enjoyable occasion.
"I'd particularly like to thank everyone at Wallsend RFC for their support in hosting the event. The facilities, preparation of the grounds and willingness of the club's volunteers to help wherever needed played a huge part in the day's success. Nothing was too much trouble, and it was clear that a great deal of effort had gone into ensuring everything was ready before the first cars arrived."
Paul also believes the club has established itself as an outstanding venue for future events.
"Having experienced the venue first-hand, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wallsend RFC to any club, organisation or community group looking to host an event. The excellent facilities, spacious grounds, friendly volunteers and professional approach make it an outstanding venue capable of accommodating events of all sizes."
Looking ahead, plans are already beginning for next year's event.
"The success of this year's show has given us plenty of confidence for the future. We've received so many encouraging comments from exhibitors and visitors alike, and we're excited to start planning next year's MG Northumbria Classic Car Show. With the foundations now in place, we hope to make it even bigger and better, attracting even more classic car enthusiasts from across the region."
Wallsend RFC Chairman Steve Fear was equally delighted with the partnership and the positive impact the event had on both the club and the wider community.
"It has been a pleasure to host the MG Northumbria Classic Car Show at our ground. We'd like to thank all the visitors, exhibitors and participants for creating such a positive experience for everyone on the day. Events like this help bring people together, and the money raised will benefit our local community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with MG Northumbria and welcoming them back in the future."
The success of the MG Northumbria Classic Car Show once again demonstrated how Wallsend RFC is much more than a rugby club. With excellent facilities, dedicated volunteers and a commitment to supporting the local community, the club continues to establish itself as one of the North East's premier venues for community events of all kinds.
