Wallsend Rugby Club is seeking a passionate, and visionary Director of Rugby to lead the strategic and operational development of rugby across all levels of the club. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of rugby at a historic and ambitious community club.

Key Aspects of the Role:
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term rugby strategy aligned with the club’s values, goals, and ambitions.
• Coaching Oversight: Support, mentor, and develop all coaches across senior and junior teams to ensure consistent and high-quality coaching standards.
• Player Pathways: Build a clear development pathway for players from mini and junior rugby through to senior level.
• Recruitment & Retention: Drive player recruitment at all levels and create an inclusive, supportive environment to retain players and volunteers.
• Game Day Leadership: Be an active and visible presence on training nights and match days, providing guidance and leadership.
• Community Engagement: Strengthen links with local schools, colleges, and community organisations to promote rugby and club values.
• Club Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Committee and other key stakeholders to grow the club on and off the field.

Requirements
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A clear vision for player development and club progression.
• A genuine passion for grassroots rugby and community sport.
• DBS clearance and safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain).
